Hi guys! So excited to say my prep for the interview on Monday paid off and ive been offered a position! Over the moon🥰❤️

I also had 2 interviews last week. On the way to one my shoes ripped up my heels so I was limping around both of them 😂 but everyone was very nice and I was offered one of them on Friday and formally accepted yesterday.

I have used tips, guidelines, information, etc shared on this platform to enhance my Job search and it has been immensely beneficial. I got a new role that suits what I was looking for and I start in few days. I am sharing this to encourage everyone. Pro-Tip that worked for me. Got my role via LinkedIn by connecting with a hiring manager.
(I did not d.m rather engaged on posts) Follow hiring managers in your sector, field or expertise may help. Some post directly on their LinkedIn instead of the Job board. So you can see it first hand like I did.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to this community! I was made redundant about eight weeks ago and as it was the first time I’ve been through it it was pretty daunting, this group made so much of a difference and knowing that there were people out there going through the same thing being able to contact you and go on calls to reassure me that this was a normal process and that these things happen made the process such a more manageable experience.

For those still going through it, please keep applying for jobs, apply for the ones you don’t think you’ll get because today I just signed a contract for the job I never thought I would get. Attend all the support calls and apply for all the jobs you can but most importantly put yourself first! Good luck to all of you and I’m wishing you all the very best - you’ve got this 💪🏻

Before joining Hurdle, I felt unmotivated, lonely, and lacked self-belief. Since joining the community, I no longer feel that way. I now have a support network that provides encouragement, accountability, and honest conversations about the realities of job-hunting. The September Surge Challenge, alongside workshops from the trusted Hurdle coaches, has taught me so much. I have more structure in my day-to-day, as well as receiving insightful feedback and advice. I feel more confident, optimistic, and supported as a result.
